Art

This is a sampling of my art through the years. Some of these are old, like the guitar drawing, but some are recent, like the digital drawings. I started drawing with pencil when I was in 7th grade and decided to take a drawing class and realized I could actually do it. I never really tried painting until I was around 21 and I went to visit my brother and his boyfriend at college and they were painting with acrylics. They had some extra canvas boards so we all painted together. After that I did a lot of acrylics. Eventually I tried my hand at watercolor, which I never quite got the hang of. Then in 2019 I decided I wanted to try digital art, so I got a drawing tablet. Once I got the hang of it, I really came to love it. At the moment I'm trying pixel art, but I don't really have any finished pieces yet.

This is my first ever painting with acrylics:

I had scanned this into my computer using my dad's scanner and I don't like the way it made the texture of the canvas stand out. I probably should just take a photo of it with my digital camera.

Serenity- the ship from Firefly... This was my first digital drawing with my first drawing tablet. I was learning as I was creating this, so it might seem a little inconsistent. I still really like it, though. I'm working on a redraw, though, now that I've spent a lot more time getting used to the tablet.
